Description:

This accelerometer sensor app provides a comprehensive tool for measuring and presenting various forms of kinematic data, including the g-Force Meter, Linear Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Inclinometer. The app offers detailed insights into motion in the x, y, and z dimensions, along with overall magnitude representation in graphical, digital, and vector forms.
Users have the option to export data as .csv files for in-depth analysis using spreadsheet or plotting applications. Settings allow customization such as plotting data against elapsed time or clock time, adjusting line thickness on plots, and modifying data collection frequency. Additionally, a quick tutorial is available at startup to guide users through the app’s functionality.
This application proves particularly beneficial for monitoring acceleration changes in vehicles or aircraft, as well as tracking vibrations in various contexts. It can serve as an educational aid in classrooms for students to quantify activities using Newton's 2nd Law. By carrying the app on field trips to amusement park rides, roller coasters, or even using it in elevators for "elevator problems," students can enhance their understanding by visualizing force diagrams based on G-Force calculations.
